ST. MARY IMMACULATE

ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH

ELORA, ONTARIO, CANADA
  Music - Our Pipes

Our organ was manufactured by Strybos of Windsor, Ontario, in the mid 1980's.  It has 11 ranks consisting of 800 wood and metal pipes.
The organ was originally installed in a Dutch senior's retirement village in Brampton, Ontario and was removed when a digital organ was installed in its place in the fall of 98.
In 1998 the purchase price of our organ was $22,000 & the installation costs, including some upgrades was an additional $50,000. The only storage our organ ever saw, was the crating during transport from Brampton to Elora.
The replacement value, for insurance purposes in 2006, would be about $180,000, suggesting a great deal was made, putting it together, as apposed to buying one new out of the "Box".
Our organ has electric action, not tracker or direct action, with Peterson solid state switching and capture action.
We had our manuals replaced to accommodate standard 61 note manual compass and our pedal board is configured to 32 note radiating to AGO standards.
Our organ is maintained by Leslie Smith an Organ Builder out of Fergus. Leslie is
a reputable organ craftsman, who is well known throughout Southern Ontario.       Our Music - Our Renovations
